Union Station Northampton

This morning I went on a photo shoot with a friend who is an enthusiastic photographer; her red hair is well-matched to Northampton's brick buildings. Last night's first dusting of snow was still on the ground but melting fast. (British blippers should restrain their envy!)

We covered my immediate neighborhood, and then walked downtown, where we passed Union Station. a brick structure (what else?) once served by the Massachusetts Central Railroad from Boston. Now it is strictly a freight line. The building is attractively renovated, housing restaurants, a bar and a catering service. Other restaurants (three in all) occupy the building on the right. (There is altogether no shortage of them in Northampton.)
