Fruit cage Part 2

Well this is more of a curiosity than a fabulous photo. The fruit cages are finished and you might need a spot of imagination to see what's going on! There are actually two cages and this view is from the small one through to the bigger one. They are both octagonal, hooped and meeting in the centre. Ultimately they will be covered in netting or something that scares birds. You can just see the living willow thingy, probably now going to be cut down a little and woven more into a seat, The soft fruit area is in need of a massive weed but that shall be done next spring. We grow blueberries, cranberries, gooseberries and currants.

Morning at work, followed by a big lunch for wwoof Ireland managers. Fancy a free but hardworking experience next year then check out wwoofing!

Last commitment of the day is the school Christmas play - nerves and hyperness abound, but it will be fun and mercifully short - home by 7.30.

A horrendous forecast coming up, and all the grit ordered for the country is stuck in the Mediterranean :(
