Deck the halls ...

Not that we have a hall in our very small workers cottage. Though it is a stone built workers cottage with 18 inches (45cm) thick walls, all of which appear to have been built by eye.

The arrival of our grandson for a couple of days prompted some Christmas decorating activity and J has enjoyed moving round the house and looking at the different lights. The plastic tree came from Dean Clough in Halifax (which houses a design centre gallery). Ordinarily I don't go for things plastic but there was something about these blue plastic trees that appealed to me and it's come out every year since. We still haven't got a real tree and A is going to take J to buy one tomorrow while I'm at work. So Christmas will slowly take over the house bit by bit.

At the moment a great sea drama is unfolding in the bathroom with sharks and killer whales. Hopefully sleep will follow quickly.
