A brave new world

There seems to be no stopping the wee man now he's found the confidence to walk without holding on. mrs monochrome and myself headed to the Gyle to get Aidan's feet measured again, as he's had his current shoes since his birthday, and we were worried that his feet might have grown and that his shoes would be too small now that he's walking of his own accord. It turns out that his feet haven't grown, so his shoes are good for a while longer yet.

Whilst at the Gyle, the wee man was adamant that he wanted out the buggy. We stopped for a coffee in Starbucks and got him out the buggy to see if he would toddle about - he was walking around everywhere and at lightning pace too!

One of our friends from uni came over in the afternoon for a bit - she lives in London now, but was up visiting her family for Christmas, so it was good to catch up. It was also the first time she had met Aidan, so (in true Aidan style) he turned on the charm and even gave her a kiss.

After that, we headed round to my parents for dinner - Aunite K and Unca Big Bad Bob were also there, so we had Aidan sitting at the table with all of us and he absolutely loved it! I thought he might be too distracted to eat, but he ate loads - a big bowl of grumpa's homemade soup with a bit bread, then loads of pasta bake with a bit garlic bread on the side and then a yogurt for pudding! He was like a bottomless pit - he's getting more and more like his dad every day :)

Oh, also back-blipped for yesterday too.
