Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

shadows and reflections

Today I indulged myself with 2 lectures at the Frye Museum, one on The Figure in Egyptian Art, and the second on The figure in Islamic Art, by a husband and wife team from the Detroit Institute of Art. In between there was time to wander around, get coffee and find a blip. it wasn't raining, the sky was blue, and there were all sorts of possibilities. But I liked these the best : over the reflecting pool at the entry to the museum, a space that has been used for art installations, and a space one can contemplate from the museum cafe and the way in and out. At least one can tell the sun was out!
