The Lozarithm Lens

Taking one picture a day is a sort of challenge in itself. Unlike yesterday, the shutter fired four times, but they were all attempts at the same picture, of which this was the fourth.
The decluttering process that I began some time ago has been quietly and slowly progressing ever since and today moved onto getting the central part of my CD collection into A-Z order. I know this may seem a bit nerdy, but as I own something approaching 4,000 of the things, if I didn't have some sort of ordering system, I'd never locate the one I was looking for. As it was, I had several piles of CDs that were sorted by different criteria prior to being assimilated into the collection, and it was getting out of hand.
I could also see that I may be running out of storage space. The only way to assess the situation was to blend them all into their final order. Today, I got the A-Z section complete but there is still a lot to do with compilations and with the specialist genres such as blues, rock and roll, R&B, soul, Motown and reggae.
I chose the section that includes the Grateful Dead CDs as it was the first time they had all been gathered together, from The Birth Of The Dead 2CD compilation to John Oswald's fabulous Grayfolded 'plunderphonic' assembly. The rest of my Grateful Dead collection is on mini-disc and MP3.
I may tackle the rest of the CDs tomorrow, but if it's a fine day I may break free and go on a photo shoot. My shutter finger is twitching.
