While on my runs

mangrove taming

A couple of months ago I took this same reach of Cox's Creek, only from the boardwalk which is in the background of this picture, just as the bridge I was on this morning was in the background in December. There was much less water today due to the tide being almost full high tide last time, and close to low tide today.

More dramatically, in their efforts to improve the management of storm waters, Council staff are digging, draining, and all sorts. Currently much of the green edge to the creek is bereft of cover and is just mud. I can't quite work out what they are doing, but I thought it was worth recording
