Don't Mess!

I had always wanted to have a go at boxing but never had the guts. For my 30th birthday, Canterbury bought me a punch bag which we duly hung in the garage. I was happily punching away when he laughed at me and uttered the immortal words, "You punch like a girl!". The next day, he came home from work and I informed him that I had joined a Kickboxing gym and would be starting me beginners' course the very next day.

A few weeks later, he joined too.

We loved our kickboxing classes and although I never got very good at it, I looked forward to it. Then I broke my foot on someone's elbow and it was never the same again. I was afraid of hurting my foot again.

I'm going to get back into punching Bryan (our punchbag) tomorrow. He hasn't got any elbows and doesn't hit back.

Oh, and by the way, I no longer 'punch like a girl'.

Thanks to Canterbury for the loan of his gloves, they're more photogenic than my plain black ones.

Off out to the buskers now.
