I am an amateur photographer, singer, cyclist who lives in Norwich with my lovely husband and 4 cats. I currently work full-time and always, but always, have a camera with me. I love photography as it has taught me to be both patient and impulsive - no formal training, which I guess is why I rarely venture away from auto.

I've been taking photos since about 2008 and since October 2010 have started to become interested in photographing events/public activity such as public demonstrations and celebrations. 2011 was certainly a bumper year in that respect what with the demonstrations against the UK Government cuts to public services, the emergence of the Occupy Movement and - on a more celebratory note - my participation in the Norwich and London Pride weekends.

In March 2013 I set up a Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94070481@N05/

2011 was also the year in which I contributed to a couple of group exhibitions and began offering mounted prints of my photos for sale and in 2012 I held my first solo exhibition.

As the UK economy continues to plummet further and further into recession there are more and more opportunities for me to take photos at demonstrations and I'm finding that I really, really love this type of photography and I want to capture more of the 'hard' stuff, if you get my drift.

Signing up to Blipfoto was a big step for me in my 'coming out' as a photographer and writer as it has made me think a bit more about the images I capture and the stories that are behind them.

Just completed two years worth of entries (19th Feb 2013).

Enjoy!
