Figure this is a great way to rejuvinate the creative sparks, realize the beauty in everyday life, and bond with my camera. I love this site's simplicity but I'm even more impressed by the quality of pretty much all of the photographs I've seen in other journals.

My profession mostly involves websites but I've always had a love-hate relationship with photography. Previously I worked as a magazine designer where we employed several really talented photographers. I really admire anyone who make it their livelyhood. Me, I'm just winging it.

For Christmas 2006 my parents helped me buy a new camera: a Nikon D80 (body only). For the previous 12 years I'd worked with a Nikon 6006 which, for the last seven years, was literally held together by duck tape. (Turns out I'm not the only one with thar problem!)

You may have noticed I'm adding camera and lens details to my posts. That's just so I can keep track of what I used for each shot. I have three lens: (1) a Tamron AF 24-70mm, (2) a Tamron AF 70-300mm, and (3) a Nikkor AF 105mm micro. In addition to the D80 I plan to take shots with other cameras, like my cell phone or webcam.

Anyway, thanks for looking and stopping by. If you have any questions or words of advice please don't hesistate to share!
