The accidental finding

Calling time on the offices

This morning I worked in the nice office, where it was not sunny because it was morning.  I had lunch outside at the picnic bench with other staff. The weather was warm and superbly sunny.

After that I rolled up my sleeves and got on with condensing all our information leaflets from two  offices into separate envelopes /folders and putting them into one unit (on the left of the pic). I had to throw a lot out, but that's not bad. Half of it was out of date. This process took all afternoon.

Left the office in a hurry but still missed the bus. Walked up past the Shambles, where I saw Steve's car. Waited for him in the sunny churchyard while he set out his stall for tomorrow. Then he drove us home and I, possessed by the spirit of spring cleaning, set about reclaiming my study so that I can work from home. (We also have a cabin in the garden, but I'm.not sure the internet is great out there, and it might be a little too distracting out there, never mind the lawnmowers....) I had seen a poster advertising a Terry Oldfield concert, so I wafted around with the duster and vaccum, listening to Terry. After about four hours, I'd cleared enough space, and all of  my desk, and felt that the space was good enough to be called a hippy home office. Might hide the background when I'm on video calls, though!

I'm happy to have regained the use of a room thay had got silted up, but what it'll be actually like to work from home, I don't know.

We do not know where the rat has gone. CleanSteve thinks it's dead. I think it's probably in our bed. Let's hope it's not.
