The glamour

The last day of fieldwork wasn't, as I'd previously kidded myself, on Friday. No, today, Johnstone. So it was up and out by 8.30 to drive through, miss a turn-off, drive around a bit and then find the place and talk to the people who actually turned up this time. Still, Johnstone. The sort of small formerly purposeful town that loses people to places with jobs. It's a bad sign when a place can't sustain a pound shop.
