On Some Days

Looking Out My Window . . . Tom Jones

While making coffee I had to pause and admire the view from the kitchen window.  I took this from the driveway because the window is in need of cleaning.
Some of you asked about the persimmons so I was thoughtful when I ate one.  I peel mine but you can eat the skin like you do an apple.  The texture is firm like a melon or a pear. The taste is delicate which means I can't describe it. It is sweet and not astringent.  I grow it for me and the birds and it does look attractive in autumn and in summer it has bright green leaves.  Interestingly it doesn't need water.  It wasn't watered in our drought but hs fruited well.
This afternoon we walked to the corner to wave Andrew and B off on there trip to the airport.  I am sure they will have a wonderful holiday.
