Barbed Wire & Bird

Another unexpected chance for a blip this morning. I normally would've jumped straight into the car at my door, but circumstances changed it up and I found myself walking through a gentle shower of rain on my way to the local bakery to have a coffee.

I nipped through the lane that comes out at the back of the shops that edge the marina and saw this little bird perched upon a post that has been cut down.
We had a lovely little interlude, I told him I was on my way to have my wisdom tooth extracted and I r-e-a-l-l-y didn't want to go and the only thing I was looking forward to was a great cappuccino which would hopefully help me to get through the ordeal.

Anyway, I haven't thought the whole thing through yet, but there just seemed to be some sort of symbolism in this scenario for me today. The posts - especially the one the little bird was on and somehow the barbed wire……..

…..Or maybe I'm just distracting myself from the throb in my jaw where there used to be tooth…..
