A view from Jeanneb

Decided to take a slightly different route home tonight to see if I could get some new inspiration for my blip.

Didn't really see anything new but I did see something old and very familiar.

The central building in this picture was an old hall in the 17th century and was then made into a farm with numerous farm cottages. They have now all been made into bigger, more modern abodes including the barns, mistles(cow byres) and the pig pens.

Just hidden behind the trees is the cottage where I was born and lived until I got married. I was only thinking about this place the other day when I was contemplating a blip of hay meadows which made me think of the fantastic time we had when it was hay making. We used to ride on top of the load - Health and Safety eat your heart out - and drink ginger beer out of stone jars (and I'm not that old really!!)

I like the patchwork of meadows on the hillside beyond and although the trees have grown much remains familiar, except the grey of the (fairly new) Secondary school  which was not there in my youth.

Memories.
