Festive treats.

We headed to Harlow Carr today as the forecast was good.

It started a little dull but there were blue skies by mid afternoon and some amazing cloud patterns especially as the sun was setting on our way home.

It was relatively quiet too, even in Betty's cafe but the most enjoyable part of the day was walking around the gardens seeing the delightful touches of decorations for the coming Christmas season. Nothing over the top here just subtle hints of colour from baubles here and there and some delightful decorations made predominantly from natural materials.

Last year the white barked trees had just silver baubles on them but today some red ones have been added.

I'm afraid I've resorted to a compilation as there were too many goodies to choose from. Even here I have left out the amazing skies and the super wildlife we observed. Tiny Coal tits and Long Tailed tits in and out of the trees and feeders, we even spotted a Nuthatch as well as Robins and squirrels were busy foraging on the ground.

A lovely day out for a late November day and even got some Christmas shopping done!
