Snail Mail

Our hamlet has a Victorian mail box built into the garden wall of one of the cottages. It has its limitations: the slot too narrow for bigger envelopes; the steep angle makes it all to easy for a letter to get stuck at the top of the box, especially when there's already a bunch of them jammed in; anything stiff (such as a card) or fat is impossible unless it's tiny; and snails take up residence from time to time which means that anything posted the night before is likely to end up as lace (with slime).

It is, however, aesthetically pleasing. As are Freda and Ethel.

(No molluscs were harmed in the making of this blip.)
