Tuesday 9 March 2010: South from Grunkeys Geo
Walk to Rerwick Head in Tankerness, then past Sand of Heatherhouse and Taing of Rumbles.
Took photos at the old wartime coastal battery buildings, here.
Cold if you stood still, but warm when walking. Lots of skylarks singing, saw a couple of peregrine falcons; a large female on a fencepost, and a male which caught and killed a lapwing. It's not all larks singing in the wild.
