Poplar Impressions

"Chicks Road Trip". - Day 4

Had a fantastic sleep, OMG did I ever need it after the big day yesterday! And, thanks so much hoisting it way up in Spotlight. :)

Awoke to a foggy morning but we couldn't be bothered rushing out to do some atmospheric shots at that time. Fortunately, the fog lingered for most of the morning, we headed up the back of Alexandra and into the remote moonscape areas. Along the winding dusty roads, with many stops for "Rocks in the Landscape" (our next competition subject).

From there we went to the Clutha River for some really incredibly beautiful autumn colours and reflections. A stop for some fueling up (us, not the vehicle) then off down the Clutha Valley for some more photography, so many wonderful places offering many photos.

By this time, we decided it was very much wine o'clock time, yes indeedy. Then as dusk fell we went back to the river for some LE photography. Quite successful also.

Take a look at Katey and Chrissybelle

But, in the end I've chosen a reflection of the vibrant coloured poplars in the Clutha River, then flipped the image to give this impressionist look.

Just too many options again today.

What another superb day.

Rainie.
