Groningen - Friesestraatweg

Today I noticed that not only the sugar factory is taken down; there's also a factory building at the Friesestraatweg that is being demolished. In the building there are also traces of fire, but I was unable to find out who the owner of the building was and why it is taken down. On the building there is a sign that says '1950' so I guess the building was 60 years old...

I liked the evening light striking the remains of the building and I also liked the fact that you can see the beautiful water tower right through the building.

A bit behind on commenting; I'm very busy at the moment but I'm trying to find some time to look at all your fabulous blips...

update:It's 25 minutes past midnight and I think I am no longer behind on commenting. I am behind on sleep now, however, so I'll fix that now...
