MonoMonday:Mail boxes

Due to the complete absence of uniqueness or ingenuity in the UK postal system (ie. post boxes are all nationally supplied and letters are posted through a simple slot in a house door) I resorted to a bit of history.
This one must be well over 100 years old, as the V stands for (Queen) Victoria and she died in 1901.
I think it is the type that BikerBear was searching for in vain. Although there does seem to be some sort of key hole....
On second glance, I think most of the letters we get these days must struggle to get through that slot!
