I very much like being a creative, average jack-of-all-trades, master of none.

I adore folk traditions as they often encompass so many beautiful, home-learnt skills such as music, sewing, folk medicine, body art etc as well as occaisonally ignoring strict classifications or 'rules'.

In my photography and writing it is people's contrasting habits and daily rituals (both spiritual and mundane) that fascinate me. I am always engrossed when learning about people's different ways of life -rites of passage, religion, literature and cultural norms etc-, and I love variety, from both a visual and a social perspective. I am quite a shameless people-watcher.

Often times I'm also inspired by mother nature. Finding new environments to explore -natural and manmade- provides stimulous for my work. Letting one creative area of my life bleed into another is what keeps me moving from one project to the next.
