Friday 3 February 2012: Cold hand
In a bitterly cold north wind this spindly shadow of a well-pruned plane tree seemed to be reaching out for the balcony. It was minus 2 C when I was out in the sun at 11 a.m. - at least it's dry here so we have no snow or frost, but I think if it stays like this I'll be doing some more indoor blips of colourful crockery over the next few days!
[It was so cold that I forgot to check the settings on the camera properly - I didn't mean to take this at f2.8, but it seems to have worked OK!
