Tuesday 1 March 2011: A Nation Remembers

Today the nation stopped at 12.51pm to observe two minutes silence as a sign of unity for the people of Christchurch and out of respect for those who have lost their lives.
It has been a week since we had a devastating earthquake with the magnitude of 6.3, and yet is seems only like a couple of days ago. It is still all too surreal.
We are continuing to have many large aftershocks, and housing areas towards the east have been evacuated, as large rocks have come loose and are putting the residents lives in jeopardy.
Today I have photographed two blood lily's, in respect for the 2 minutes silence.
I have photographed these previously as seen here.
