Thursday 3 March 2011: Wonderful Couple
Anniversary
She is doing her best
not to blame me for
something that is not entirely my fault.
Normally she needs to add salt
to sores, to dig a claw
into an open wound. She's the Beast
(though I'm no Beauty) in
our pantomimes. Happy endings
are not scripted. We
are players in a black comedy.
We make the worst of things.
But today we are celebrating.
And that is funny.
