Thursday 3 March 2011: High flyer
It was our annual athletics championships today - and what an awesome day!!! Great support for each other, wonderful competition, excellent behaviour, superior performances.........warm fuzzies all round!
We had a number of notable achievements but I shall mention just 2. B here broke the school's senior boys' long jump record by over 40cm although was still about 60cm below his personal best! As you can see - the crowd were in awe of his performances :)
Another student, Sean had been aiming to break the boys javelin record last year but didn't quite make it. This year he did though - a record that has stood since 1967!
What a fabulous set of results from a fabulous group of young men and women. What a great day :)
