Friday 4 March 2011: Firing the bricks....

Finally our front of the Kiln Clamp the bricks are at temperature, you can see the bricks glowing through the insulation cladding brick, soon they will be at 1050C and then they will be held for about 10 hours the allowed to cool naturally.

From beginning to end this will creep along the whole of the clamp over the next 19 days.

Then we start packing the bricks.
