Wednesday 30 January 2008: bubble trouble
Two days ago the female half of my pair of Golden Rams started to look a bit iffy. I've since noticed a couple of what appear to be fungish lumps on her dorsal fin and underside so treated the tank last night with a natural antifungal remedy which, apart from being kind to the delicate skin of my prized elephantnose mormyrid is also reported to do the job rather well. I hope it does because lady ram is quite a character and anyway her fella seems a tad perturbed what with his lasses' dodgy breathing and general unwelliness.
Only problem is it makes the water froth a bit, which looks even more exaggerated when my airpumpyairstone kicks in...
