Sunday 6 March 2011: The Grand Old Lady..........
On a whim today, after picking a friend up from the airport, I continued out to Brightwater to have a quick look at a house I'd seen for sale.
This wasn't it! But this is one I would love to have lived in in its heyday.
The one I looked at is of a similar style and era but it's had the good fortune to have been tended to, painted and maintained over the years.
Still, this is the one that makes people like me stop along the road and take pictures of it. There's a lot to be said for the beauty of age.
