Wednesday 9 March 2011: Spring in sight?
Still a pretty continuous snow cover - but in the sunny, southern-exposed slopes some bare patches are appearing. Today Z saw the first wood pigeon, and we heard reports of lapwings, whooper swans and larches, too! Spring hasn't sprung yet, but it's getting ready for a big leap!
