Death In Our Midst.

Todays photo is about the mystery of death in our midst. The random nature of who, when, where and how.
This photo is supposed to show a bunch of dead leaves still attached to the main tree. The tree itself is healthy and the rest of the leaves appear like "normal".
Today the listing by the police of three people who we know. Victims of buildings in our recent earthquake.

One Stephen Wright, a photographer. I think he would say- the time to take a very good photo is NOW. Here is one of his images if you are interested.

One a father of two, the youngest in my middle sons class.

One a newly engaged much loved creative writer of immense potential and talent.

Ah these things are tough. I wanted to show the texture change between the ones who have gone, and those left behind. Shows up in large format more. I also used very precise depth of field, focus on the "special ones" and not on the rest the masses.
