Today Bannan sat back and checked out Elliott Erwitt's Dog Dogs book. I played golf.

All Bannan aside, Quincy Jones has been a big influence in the music world. Before being a producer, he was a trumpet player, band leader, arranger, composer, etc. Many of the tunes he wrote are deceptively simple, but they always have a contagious rhythmic groove. Today is Q's 77th birthday. This is worth a listen.
