Friday 18 March 2011: Kelli
A very crazy night last night to finish off Paddy's day - lots of food, lots of drink, and lots of (very loud) Articulate (board game) followed by the letting off of two sky lanterns.
Up at sparrowfart to take Kelli, our wwoofer from Arizona/Seattle, to the 8.30 bus to Cork. She's meeting her dude-friend (someone who's not yet a boyfriend but could be) in Cork and then they are off travelling together. Dude-friend will be in shock as he left Seattle on Wednesday and has travelled via Minneapolis, Gatwick and Stansted arriving in Cork at 7.30am this morning, and he's never been out of America before! Kelli was delightful - good fun, hard working and very easy to get on with. We have Laura for another two days and she's currently busily sorting out reed beds.
Another hectic night coming up - potluck supper at Sheila's followed by a quiz night in Fitzpatricks. I fear the questions will all be about GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), rugby (Ireland v England tomorrow - get the shirt on Kath!!) and politicians - not my strong points. and will I stay awake? Chips and sandwiches are usually served at half-time along with the raffle!! It won't be an early night!
