all fields round here

A wee bit before we moved out of the flat last summer the local branch of the Tesco shop had suddenly stopped selling the only two things I required unique to that particular chain, forcing me to divert past other larger branches to acquire them. The local Lidl always seems to fail to have in stock the type of chocolate Nicky prefers, requiring occasional trundles to various other branches even though all branches of that shop-type are almost identical, almost to the shelf. The new and largish Tesco nearby seems to have now stopped selling the no-added-sugar yoghurt we sometimes have to bribe Edgar with to get him to eat the non-yoghurt components of his tea, which was solved by trundling across to the Hermiston Gait branch (though they only had two packets in the shelf) and can possibly also be worked around by trundling the five miles to the giant Musselburgh installation if it's a store-size thing preventing them being sold more locally. It is suspected that a different type of supermarket might also sell them but we now have eight days to test this before we run out again. I don't mind having to go on little jaunts to locate particular items, especially when Edgar finally achieved a reward-worthy seventh ever night of sleeping all the way through from being put to bed until after six in the morning, which we were hoping would happen before he reached ten months. No idea what allowed this to happen but hopefully it'll keep happening more and more frequently.
