Suburban stripes

Sometimes I come home from work and find a new addition to the neighborhood. We're not entirely sure what this is for but judging by the sign on the side "beware of splash back" we think it's for emptying chemical toilets into.

None of us have been issued with chemical toilets so we assume either we'll get one for contingency or to use when the sewer lines are relaid.

Laptop still trapped in what is turning out to be a substantially damaged building.

Everyone is a bit tired and cranky (including me). The novelty of working in a small room with up to 8 - 10 other people has worn off. 4 weeks on from a disaster I think our collective reactions are probably entirely natural.

Mum is doing ok. No operation. The risks outweigh the benefits. She will slowly heal firstly in hospital and then at home.

It was nice to see the sun this afternoon.
