No Daffodils

A grand day out that was though, in the company of a group of energetic, enthusiastic, adventurous and constantly hungry kids. Oh, and their two blipping dads too.

Headed out with Instography and Andmoff for a wander around the Dunmore Estate, outside Airth in Stirlingshire, with the kids for what tuned out to be a proper Indiana Jones type adventure (creepy crypts filled with coffins, ruined mansions, giant stone fruit, snakes (ok, not snakes) and carrot and coriander soup).

This ruin was definitely the highlight though, a proper rural pile left to rack and ruin but full of blippable goodies. If this had been elsewhere you'd have been charged a tenner to get in but as it is we walked in through the gate and straight into the place. It must've been mightily impressive at one time with dozens of rooms (count the chimneys, they all lead back to a fireplace in a room) but it's slowly being reclaimed by nature with grass for carpets and trees growing out of the brickwork.

It was great to put faces to journals today and hopefully it'll be the first of many blipmeets around this way. Especially if Andy's going to be making his soup and bread again.

Deciding now whether to fill in our census form or watch some telly. After all that fresh air today, I think it might be the latter.

Cheers guys, looking forward to the next one.
