Tuesday 29 March 2011: Sun Vortex

I bring you a gratuitous sky shot, mainly because of the novelty of it still being daylight when I get home from work.

After a sequence of dawn blips a month or two back, I sense that we are getting into sunset season. When this picture was taken we were still a good half an hour from sun down, but I thought the sun emerging from the swirling clouds made for a striking image, particularly after a day of muted greyness.

I normally like to include a slice of the ground in my sky shots, but today, the sky has won out.
