Saturday 2 April 2011: In my cups again
An invite to the wedding of the year for the Pensioner! The deal was everyone had to bring two cupcakes. Which people duly did. And here they are. Actually, there was so much to eat that people had to take them away at the end of the evening. I had done my bit, wolfing a couple down with Deuchars, so I felt absolved from packing them away again.
The couple in question had been together for 27 years and had finally given in to their childrens' entreaties. The wedding vows were designed by themselves and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. And then there were musical recitals, singing and a ceiidh. All very fine. And a humanist chap presided over it all - the very aptly named John Bishop.
