The way I see it.

Thursday 7 April 2011: Dunnet Beach

Made a 10 mile detour on my way home from work all because Longshanks told me that a very rare gull had been spotted at Castlehill near the carpark over the last few days! Of course I never saw it and now I have added another layer to my blip addiction. As I am driving along I not only check out every change in the landscape rolling past me but I have to also check out every gull to find out if it has a black beak and orange legs - a Boneparte Gull! It's only a matter of time before I drive off the road.

Anyway all the Castlehill gulls seemed to have gathered together down near the water and I stalked them as best I could but did not get near enough to see any markings distinctly. It was an enjoyable hour out in the fresh air after a much better day at work.

Tomorrow is the last day of term for 17 days!
