Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Blip #250 provides a second bust in as many days. Today is The Mahatma, man of peace, humanitarian, and great Indian (and resident at Scott Library) at York University. Yesterday was Dr. Norman Bethune, doctor in wartime, humanitarian, inventor of mobile blood transfusion, and great Canadian (resident of Bethune College).

I have blipped a number of artworks at York University, which has mostly modern abstracts. But it has some realist busts and other works. The first of a total of three YorkU busts was of Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Wiki). He's at one of the commons between lecture halls. I'll have to poke around and see if there are more busts around campus that I can blip.

Yesterday's blip: Dr. Norman Bethune
