Here is Eddy, captured while trying to stop a leaking stuffing box of a desuperheating valve .
Bahco (adjustable wrench) came in handy....
These valves are meant to desuperheat the steam in the stages between two superheaters. This is done by spraying water into the steam.
Reason for desuperheating is to increase te efficiency of the water/steam cycle.
The stuffingbox was spraying a mixture of water and steam around but it's okay again now, thanks to Eddy...
