The most expensive cuppa in the world

I'm working at Cliveden today, photographing Sunday Times journalist Paul and his girlfriend (here) interior designer Lisa eat the most expensive afternoon tea in the world.

Described by Executive Head Chef Carlos Martinez as the 'Platinum Afternoon Tea', it includes glasses of Vintage Dom Perignon Rose, three types of rare tea, plus Kopi Luwak Coffee (the beans of which have been ingested then egested by civets).

The tea Lisa is enjoying is Da Hong Pao, the trees from which it comes date from 960-1279 and are very rare.

There are also five platters of beautifully prepared scones, canapes and cakes.

Full story to follow in The Sunday Times next week all being well.
