Friday 15 April 2011: North
This is what 6-7 hour drive turned 11 hour drive looks like on a 5 year old.
We left in good time this morning on our trip to Seattle. The weather was absolutely horrible in every way. Several hours after leaving, we came to a a dead stop on the freeway. Three lanes completely at deadlock. After 2 hours and only 10 miles, we see the trouble. A semi has crashed into something and is now in two pieces sideways across two lanes. No tulip fields for us.
This shot was at a rest area after the wreck. There was free coffee and hot cocoa so full of sugar it was crunching in their teeth. We finally reached Seattle in the late evening and quickly found our beds.
