Monday 18 April 2011: Tony and his Border
Tony's worked hard today on the border at the back of our house. The border actually runs right up the back of the terrace and is public land, but most neighbours garden their bit and it looks lovely when it's all in bloom. Strange to see how some plants did not survive the snow cover whereas others seem to have benefited from it. Tony's turned up allsorts of 'artefacts' during his day of digging and clearing, including a Victorian washing line pole and several bird feeders which we have lost to the wind over the years.
