Tuesday 19 April 2011: Tiramisu in a martini glass with a marzipan olive.
Only I just realized I forgot to put the chocolate on top for the photo.
I just bought some new glasses for the tiramisu and my new sous chef suggested to put the olive made out of marzipan in the glass.
Today I had a boy come in for a days work experience. He came from a college where a friend of mine is the head of catering and where I did some relieve teaching last year. The boy had already done some work experience with Michael Caines and Rick Stein so I felt quite honoured he wanted to come and spend time in my kitchen too.
I had him make a caramelized sweet chilli sauce, scones and let him do lots of chopping and cutting which he enjoyed.
