Thursday 21 April 2011: Intercultural Craic

A torrential downpour this morning meant plan B and C were called upon, so back to SJOG to work with the street children on their Holiday project. The Placement guys Cian and Marc examined the computer systems, with a view to help, the girls had high jinks with the kids, while I did my morning in the pump factory, setting up a new saw.
After lunch was set for the farm, but not before a final Barrack, Traditional Dance with the kids. Cian and Julie volunteered to take part and the pick shows them headlining the finale. The kids were ecstatic with screams and laughter and intercultural got a whole new meaning for all of us. The kids will never forget it, but neither will we.
We, yet again have a most amazing group of students from DIT.
Pity I'm confined to one pic because we had a fantastic game of netball with the Lusangazi farm workers. Making their day and inspirational for us all.
