Tuesday 3 May 2011: Mini park
Home today with way too many interruptions from all directions. Had to go look at the water in the late afternoon to get away. Dinner out with friends which was very nice (and relaxing)- they even looked at our Egypt dvd! - but didn't much like the pix from the restaurant so am going with the mini park at the end of our street. The city is in the process of renovating it (so far they have removed the ivy) as part of the Chesiahud trail around Lake Union so I'll try to remember to blip it when it's finished, with new benches and plantings and maybe an artwork. This was the site of the first Boeing Co airplane hanger in 1915- seaplanes were among the first Boeing planes. Gasworks Park in the background.
My neighbor is "sculpting" the ivy rabbit.
