Winners, Accompanists, Teachers and Parents

The Bellingham Music Club has been in existence for 95 years. Our mission is to advance classical music in Bellingham and to support young musicians in our community. Today we heard some of the winners of the Music Club awards for high school instrumentalists and singers. We heard five of the winners. The rest were taking their Advanced Placement exams and could not attend. The students who played and sang for us were just great. At the end of the concert we gave each winner a certificate and a check for their scholarship. Here is a picture of the musicians, teachers, accompanists and their parents. A few parents also came to claim the winnings of students who were taking their AP exams so could not perform for us. Too bad the dates conflicted. But what we heard was wonderful.
