I heard Swifts today. Screeching in overhead on the warm wind from North Africa. Summer sounds. Lovely.
How does something so tiny as a bug's leg work? Is it hydraulics? Bloody amazing whatever the mechanism.
They are Varied Carpet Beetle (Anthrenus verbasci)
