Vegapalooza Day 3

Vegapalooza Day 3:

Pool time. We got our lounge chairs right by the pool this morning. And the place was filling up fast. It was set to be a very hot day in the desert. And hot it was. I am like a fish out of water when it is hot so needless to say, I spent quite a lot of time in the pool. My first dip out, I saw this image and my brain rang out, "BLIP". So I took a chance and took my camera into the wave pool. I timed the waves and got out as far as I could in order to get a large span of water in the photograph. Someone even asked, "Wow, is that camera waterproof?" "Well no" I had to say as I quickly got out before the next wave came crashing. Again, I risked it for a good blip. My next camera will be insured NO DOUBT!

There is nothing like laying out in the sun with a Fedora on my head, sunglasses over my eyes, a book in my hands, and a cold Corona w/lime on the side table next to me. My version of completely relaxing? Maybe. At least in the top 10 of most relaxing moments. And we were all so fresh from a very cold, dark, and long NW winter. We blasted through a full bottle of sunscreen (just between my husband and I) and still managed to get a bit burned. That sun just gets so hot! Believe me I'm not complaining but at one point, I was covering my legs with my towel just to keep from scorching them. And it's only May. Can you imaging August in Vegas??? I asked our waitress how the staff handles that kind of heat and she said that that is when the indoor casino jobs become the most desirable.

Beautiful hotel. Beautiful and refreshing water. It was like being in a completely different world. This is the shot that I hoped to get and I like it!
